【国际交流】东芬兰大学2019年光电工程暑期项目报名通知
东芬兰大学（University of Eastern Finland）位于芬兰东部，是一所多学科的芬兰著名综合大学。该校由东芬兰省的两所名校约恩苏大学、库奥皮奥大学在2010年合并建立而成。现有约恩苏和库奥皮奥两个主校区，在校人数约14000人。2019年，东芬兰大学首次向北理工开放暑期项目。该项目以课程和实验为主，期满成绩合格者，将获得结业证书及相应学分（2个欧洲学分）。
本期暑期项目面向我校在读研究生申报，授课教授为东芬兰大学光电类及信息类专业资深教授，具有丰富的教学以及产业合作经验，并且，该校与我校光电学院即将开展光电类专业博士双学位项目及其他研究生交流项目，我校研究生将有机会得到双方导师的共同指导以及赴对方学校进行联合培养。

一、报名条件
1.北京理工大学全日制在读硕士和博士研究生
（不含在职、定向委培和留学生）；
2.语言要求：英语熟练，能够适应英语教学。
二、项目概况
1.项目时间： 2019年8月19日-8月30日
2.往返旅费、在外期间的住宿及生活费均由学生自行负担。
3.费用：项目费：400欧元（含接机及部分社会活动费）
住宿费：286-613欧元不等（依个人选择而定）
往返旅费及餐费以实际消费为准
注：项目费加住宿费折合人民币约8000RMB
4.报名截止日期: 2019年5月30日
5.课程安排（初定）：
· Lecture: Irina Livshits (ITMO University) : Optical design in context of VR/AR glasses
· Lecture: Dispelix Juuso Olkkonen: Diffractive waveguides for AR displays, introduction to AR displays, principals of diffractive photoconductor
· Lecture: Steven LaValle (former chief scientist in, e.g., Oculus and Huawei VR/AR/MR): Human perception and its impact on VR/AR products and story of Oculus
· Lecture: Tapani Levola: (founder of waveguide based AR displays (Nokia, Vuzix), former Principal hardware engineer of Microsoft in Hololens project): Amazing optics towards perfect AR displays
· Lecture: Bernard Kress: (Microsoft Hololens) Optical architectures and related technologies to enhance the visual experience and comfort in AR and MR headsets
· Lecture: Roman Bednarik (SeeTrue Technologies & UEF): Eye-movement
tracking: theory, systems and applications
· Lecture: Next Games Riku Suomela (Mixed Reality Director) : AR technology meets game industry
· Lecture: Teemu Tiainen: Design and implementation of AR/VR learning environments
· Lecture: Karelia and University of Eastern Finland: Different manufacturing methods for optical components in AR/VR glasses
· Workshop: Microsurgery Center of Eastern Finland: VR/AR medical applications (Kuopio)
· Workshop: University of Eastern Finland: SmartLab
· Workshop: Karelia: Virtualization of production and business perspective
· Workshop: Riveria: Doing interactive teaching materials with 360 technique and visiting Riveria’s VR/AR learning environments
· Workshop: School of Computing: working in a brand-new AR/VR laboratory
三、报名方法及时间安排（报名方法已更新）
1.确定报名本项目的同学；需进入BIT研究生暑期项目校内报名链接，提交报名信息。报名链接如下：

2.同时，请准备纸质版材料，材料清单如下：
（1）下载附件一中的《海外暑期项目个人承诺书》电子版，填写完毕后申请人本人、导师、学院教学副院长签字，并盖学院公章
（2）外语水平证明复印件（英语四六级成绩或托福雅思成绩）
请将签字的纸质版承诺书和外语水平证明的纸质版，最晚于5月30日 前提交至太阳成tyc7111cc110服务大厅3号窗口
3.校内报名同时需登录东芬兰大学暑期项目网站，
（https://www.uef.fi/en/web/photonics/joensuu-summer-school-on-optics），点击Apply，选择Joensuu Summer School on Optics 2019: eXpeRience your reality，注册报名，完成缴费。
